Science Never Sleeps....or Just has really long days. :D

view from the top of the glacier

hmmm... this really sounds familar. something i did say from the NBP. anyway, at least it's good science. field work is really exhausting. i feel like there is always more to do than there are hours in a day. i feel like that at home, but here, it's just escalated. i'm hoping to make it to the thursday night science talk, but who knows....i'm still working the cold room. (processing the enviromental samples we collected today). the day started off with snow blowing upwards and ended (the daylight hours) with a calm three hours. then the wind picked up again.

the highlight of the past weekend was getting to the top of the glacier and just chilling with friends....

it was incredible up there.....just to have the opportunity to goof-off and get outside and just be in a really pretty and cool (no pun intended) place was very freeing.
