Spectacular Morning, Not so good night

well, sometime over night, the winds picked up and made a relative
easy cruise a little difficult to deal with. however we were steaming
toward the berg of choice. ..... then in the morning light (at around
830am , local time) we saw some ice.....shelf. not a berg. from the
bridge we were looking down at the many sheet ice chunks. huh....i
thought the bergs we were looking for was supposed to be really really
big and really really tall. i did manage to snap some
photos.....well, after a quick science meeting (bascially a meeting to
get everyone on the same page.) we decided to hover around the sheet
ice and test out the sonar, rov (remote operated vehicle), and high
water volume pump. we are 1450...and we just finished the sonar
test.....i guess we just have to wait our turn for the pump action.

we are finding ways to keep busy....like wash glassware, drink coffee,
eat chocolate, watch movies, play settlers of catan, etc.

it gets dark at around 2:30pm...fun.....really....
