so...when i said beyond, i didn't really mean Dallas, Tx. really. well, our flight from dallas to santiago, chile, got canceled due to some "radio malfunction" that can't be fixed tonight. the strangest thing is that Dallas is an American Airlines hub. so, some of us thought that this was a ploy for American Airlines to fill the flights for each trip. it's cheaper to put us up in an Embassy suite for one or two nights than to fly a half full plane. nuts, eh? well, what happens to the down stream effects? well, as of now, all but two or three folks from our project will actually make the final destination on time. nuts. crazy thing...we had to take all our bags and then recheck them in tomorrow....just like a brand new flight. good thing the boat ain't leaving just yet.
if i had known that the flight had been canceled (as a money saving tactic), then i would of opted to stay home on extra day.
at least we got a really really nice hotel to stay in. the embassy suites ain't all that bad.
maybe raytheon should use United Airlines. UAL flies the plane as promised and as scheduled....unless it's really broken.
hopefully next time i post...i'll be on the ship.

Having lived in DFW for a long time, I can say w/ authority: STAY IN THE BAR.
Sounds like a cool trip... hope you're loaded up on motion sickness meds. My experience on big boats is that it sneaks up on you.
and then you're green.
Can't wait to see the pix.
