ok. we all know that i'm heading down to the ice. the ice is otherwise known as Antarctica. It'll be an adventure and it'll be interesting and it'll definitely be work. i've never done field work...period. frankly, i'm nervous about this. 30 days on a boat in cold, dark, bad weather. actually i'm not even worried about that. it's 30 days on a boat with 40+ others. 30 days of communal living. hmmm.....i haven't been in a college dorm situation in a long long time....
well, i just figured out that i can blog by email. nuts! anyway, i think this is how i'm going to let folks know what i'm up to. send out an apb about the blog site and then just email the blog from there. let folks check and comment on it until i get back....
i think it's a great idea. no photos though. those will have to wait until i get back. oh well, nothing you can do about that. til the next entry (something like....day 21: dark, cold, and i'm tired of the the folks on the boat, i need a drink.) :D
