Test Day 1

well, at least the iceberg was where it's supposed to be. the two
test days that was supposed to be at clarence island didn't pan out.
too stormy, the waves too choppy. couldn't put the rov in the water.
so, we moved onto one of the bergs we intended to study....called
c18...by foks in Utah. we had our first water sampling...trying to
work out kinks in our protocols. so far, things are going as planned.

what's kind of a bummer is that the area is enshrouded in fog and
inclement weather. there is sunlight...but it struggles to get
through the thick layer of fog. i'm hoping that the weather would
clear and we would the impressive (smaller) berg that we have being
studying. oh well. what can you do.

all i can say is..."i wonder what tomorrow brings" hmmm......
