Good weather + boating = other islands

when the weather is good on any given sunday, it's time for the kids to go out and play. that pretty much means grabbing a zodiac and motoring out to the surrounding islands that we are permitted to land on...this is of course within a 2nmi radius of the station.

last weekend's choice was hermit island. i think hermit's got the highest point in the grouping of island south of the station. the souls on board the us boat was Chris (the WASLO), PQ (the IT guy), and me (the grantee/instigator). we dropped off D.marie at bonaparte point and steamed out to hermit.

after landing in the unofficial LZ and tying up the boat, we wandered around the island to check out the different vantage points this island has to offer.

and it was darn pretty. it was a good boating day. we ended up heading over to cormorant island and then janus. all were just drive-bys. we had to make it back to station before boating hours are over. we did. at 3:04pm. boating hours end at 3:05pm.

good times....
